Robert R. Rios joined Meximerica Media in June 2004 as Managing Director, Rumbo de San Antonio.
Mr. Rios began his newspaper career in 1979 with the Austin American-Statesman, Austin, TX He eventually worked in the National Sales Department representing five Cox Communications owned newspapers in Texas.
In 1983, Mr. Rios began a 20 year radio and television career in which he held various positions in sales and sales management. In 1993, Rios re-located to San Antonio, TX where he began working in Spanish language television holding management positions with Telemundo, Univision and most recently as Vice President and General Manager of Radio Unica’s KZDC 1250. He is a native of El Paso, TX. and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Marketing. He has held several civic and professional board positions in both Austin and San Antonio.
Mr. Rios is often invited as a guest lecturer to Business and Marketing classes at U.T. Austin, U.T. San Antonio, St. Mary’s University, Austin Community College and San Antonio Community College. |
