José Antonio Ferrís has spent his whole career at Recoletos Grupo de Comunicación. He worked as a reporter, special surveys’ section coordinator, and section editor for the financial weekly Actualidad Económica, as well as US correspondent for the magazine and for the financial daily Expansión.
In 1998 he moved to Santiago, Chile, where he was the CEO of Diario Financiero, a business daily owned by Grupo Recoletos and Grupo Claro among other shareholders.
During his four-year stay in Chile, Ferrís led a team which turned Diario Financiero into a profitable market leader, as well as launching successful ventures in executive training and website content.
Born in Spain, he will join Meximerica as Chief Financial Officer. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, from Universidad de Navarra and a MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). |
